Summary

First best part of the book, the hero and heroines friendship to love story。 Second best part of the book, cute beginnings and ends。 Third best part of the book, seeing Anthony, Benedict, the always hungry Colin as babies。 They were too adorable and it really made me miss the Bridgerton clan。 All of them。 The worst was the knowledge that Edmund and Violet had an expiration date on their HEA。 I did not like remembering that。 Overall, the book was cute。 Certainly not the best。 But not the worst ei First best part of the book, the hero and heroines friendship to love story。 Second best part of the book, cute beginnings and ends。 Third best part of the book, seeing Anthony, Benedict, the always hungry Colin as babies。 They were too adorable and it really made me miss the Bridgerton clan。 All of them。 The worst was the knowledge that Edmund and Violet had an expiration date on their HEA。 I did not like remembering that。 Overall, the book was cute。 Certainly not the best。 But not the worst either。 A lot of good moments。 Some meh。 I hate ending a series。 😾 。。。more

Another charming romance from Julia Quinn。 I just lived Nicolas and Georgie。 I have enjoyed all the Roksby books immensely。 Quinn just has a wonderful way of writing that lets you get completely involved with the characters and I found myself laughing out loud at a couple of the scenes。

It doesn't say that this is the last of the series - but it should be。 The plot was slow and tired, but thankfully short。 Wholly unsatisfying。 Obviously Quinn was busy with the Bridgerton TV launch。 It doesn't say that this is the last of the series - but it should be。 The plot was slow and tired, but thankfully short。 Wholly unsatisfying。 Obviously Quinn was busy with the Bridgerton TV launch。 。。。more

This could have been the best book from this saga。 It has my some of my favourite characters from this saga: Georgiana and Nicholas。 It has great subjects and a different romantic story。 But。。。I think it was all mixed up and it was such a disappointment。 It had everything to be great, but kept being only cool and cute。 Such a powerful story wasted in too many cute and funny moments that brought nothing to the story。 I loved the couple and the settintg, but I was expecting so much more from this book。 However, it was a nice book and I still recommend it。 。。。more

Not a robust plot but loved both main characters and their relationship and the sex so still four stars for me。

A quick finish to this series。 I am still waiting on the next book in the Bridgerton series from the library。 --Onto the next series as I wait! This has been the most disappointing of all of JQ's novels I've read。 The characters are likeable (especially the butlers), but very little happens in this book。 There is minimal plot, and so many pages are taken up with the antics and vocalizations of Georgie's cats。 This has been the most disappointing of all of JQ's novels I've read。 The characters are likeable (especially the butlers), but very little happens in this book。 There is minimal plot, and so many pages are taken up with the antics and vocalizations of Georgie's cats。 。。。more

Definitely not my favourite of the bridgerton/rokesby books, but I finished it and it was pretty solid。 I think I would put it on par with Penelope/Collin's book。 Definitely not my favourite of the bridgerton/rokesby books, but I finished it and it was pretty solid。 I think I would put it on par with Penelope/Collin's book。 。。。more

Ugh。 Why did Julia Quinn spend so much time talking about Georgie’s cat? Absolutely no point what so ever。 🙄

I appreciated that the lead male was not a womanizer lolol。 Incredibly refreshing。

This is the best marriage of convenience I've ever read。 I instantly fell for both Georgiana and Nicholas。 Both in an awful predicament。 Georgiana placed in a compromising situation with her reputation in tatters。 Nicholas called down from medical school and told that he must marry her to save her reputation。 He was stunned by the news and reluctantly agrees。 He decides to propose the next day。 Georgiana is mortified by the proposal and says no。 Later that night Georgiana realizes the grand gest This is the best marriage of convenience I've ever read。 I instantly fell for both Georgiana and Nicholas。 Both in an awful predicament。 Georgiana placed in a compromising situation with her reputation in tatters。 Nicholas called down from medical school and told that he must marry her to save her reputation。 He was stunned by the news and reluctantly agrees。 He decides to propose the next day。 Georgiana is mortified by the proposal and says no。 Later that night Georgiana realizes the grand gesture Nicholas is doing for her and agrees to marry him。 They share an awkward first kiss。 A few days later they marry and travel to Scotland so Nicholas can resume his studies。 Their housing is 2 hrs away and Nicholas comes on the weekends。 Georgiana takes it upon herself to search for a house close to Nicholas's school since Nicholas is too busy。 Nicholas is happy she asserted herself。 Georgiana takes great interest in his studies。 A few days later she tries to surprise Nicholas by picking him up after class on Friday but ends up having an asthma attack。 Nicholas cares for her and does not allow anyone to touch her。 Georgiana improves with fresh air。 Nicholas becomes a doctor with his wife as his assistant and they live happily ever after。I think it's the first time I've read a Julia Quinn book where both people were innocents。 It was super cute。 I really liked that there were no long days of miscommunication between the couple or mischief。 They didn't hold back their feelings。 I also liked that Nicholas welcomed Georgiana's ideas。 She did things first assuming he would agree and she was right。 She found a freedom of expression in her marriage that her parents never granted her。 I was happy that she had a husband that supported her curiosities and interest。 。。。more

Kind of a weird one, compared to all the Bridgerton books。 Other reviewers are right that it has little plot。 It is also fairly comedic in the middle, and the sex scenes are a lot more modern and BDSM-inspired than any other by Quinn; Nicholas acts as a dominant。 But it's very nice to have a hero who is both a virgin and a medical student, rather than an experienced aristocrat who does nothing with his time。 Georgiana might be my favorite character of the series; she is intellectually curious an Kind of a weird one, compared to all the Bridgerton books。 Other reviewers are right that it has little plot。 It is also fairly comedic in the middle, and the sex scenes are a lot more modern and BDSM-inspired than any other by Quinn; Nicholas acts as a dominant。 But it's very nice to have a hero who is both a virgin and a medical student, rather than an experienced aristocrat who does nothing with his time。 Georgiana might be my favorite character of the series; she is intellectually curious and confident, standing up to men in a way that was unheard of at the time。 The book could have done with less cat hijinks and more romance, but it was enjoyable all the same。 。。。more
